The journey

The Hidden Island is Phu Quoc at an unhurried pace. You stay in one beach resort for all five nights, with no repacking, and each day brings one well-chosen moment: a quiet fishing village in the north, the makers of the island’s famous pepper and fish sauce, a private speedboat day among the southern islands, and the cable car to Hon Thom. A private driver and English-speaking guide handle the details, so the rest of each day is yours to enjoy.

Journey highlights

  • One beach resort for all five nights, so you never repack

  • The quieter north coast: Rach Vem fishing village and the Ganh Dau coastline

  • Pepper farm and fish sauce workshop, with the stories behind two of Vietnam’s essential flavours

  • A mud bath and spa afternoon

  • A private speedboat day among the southern islands, with guided snorkelling

  • The Hon Thom cable car over the An Thoi islands, and a farewell dinner by the sea

Your journey, day by day

Day 1 — Arrive and slow down

Your guide and driver meet you at Phu Quoc International Airport for a private transfer to your beach resort. After check-in, unwind with a spa treatment, take a short walk to watch the sunset, and enjoy a seafood dinner by the beach at a restaurant your guide recommends.

Day 2 — The quiet north

Head north to Rach Vem, a fishing village with a calm beach, and take a local boat or kayak out when conditions allow. After a seafood lunch, follow the Ganh Dau coastline to its viewpoints before returning to the resort. Travelling with children or love wildlife? Swap the morning for a visit to the island's safari park.

Day 3 — Local flavours and a mud bath

Start early, while it is cool, at a pepper farm and a traditional fish sauce workshop, where your guide explains how both are made and used in Vietnamese cooking. In the afternoon, relax with a mud bath and spa session, then return to the resort. An optional private cooking class can be added in the evening.

Day 4 — A private boat to the southern islands

Board a private speedboat at An Thoi and spend the day hopping between the southern islands. Your captain chooses the route according to sea conditions. Snorkel with a guide trained in water safety, or simply relax on the beach or on board, with a seafood lunch along the way and a return around sunset. If the sea is not suitable, a pre-arranged resort or land-based day takes its place.

Day 5 — Hon Thom cable car and a farewell dinner

Ride the Hon Thom cable car for wide views over the islands and fishing boats of An Thoi, then have lunch on Hon Thom before an afternoon of rest. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner on the beach with Vietnamese dishes and fresh seafood.

Day 6 — Departure

A slow breakfast and free time if your flight allows, then a private transfer to Phu Quoc International Airport.
